Did you know we are not the ASPCA.
Donations made to the ASPCA DO NOT trickle down to Nassau County SPCA. To help save animals in your community, DONATE LOCAL.
ASPCA (the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), which is headquartered in New York City is not the umbrella organization for all SPCAS. Local SPCA's like ourselves, operate independently and rely heavily on local donations.
Recently, CBS This Morning released an investigative report into the ASPCA’s fundraising practices and how donor dollars are used. While many people believe that the ASPCA funds local shelters, no SPCA across the country is part of the ASPCA organization.
The Nassau County SPCA relies 100% on donations from our community and does not receive any tax dollars for our lifesaving work.
